Every Thursday night, @revelershall in Dallas’ Bishop Arts District pulses with the electrifying rhythms of @branoofunck—a dynamic duo redefining the live hip-hop experience. From 10 PM to 1 AM, the pair blend hip hop beats and dance jams with live percussion, creating an immersive soundscape.

The group is the brainchild of two Dallas artists: DJ Menace, a Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer with decades of experience behind the decks, and Medrick “Medz” Greely, a versatile drummer known for his dynamic live energy and deep musicality. Together, they fuse the essence of old-school hip-hop with live instrumentation—Menace spins iconic records and cuts sharp transitions, while Medz lays down thick, funk-infused drum grooves in real time.

Singer-guitarist @benkweller was months shy of his

Singer-guitarist @benkweller was months shy of his 16th birthday when life took a dramatic turn and he found himself being hyped as rock’s next big thing.

Years later, in a heartbreaking parallel, his son Dorian, a budding singer-songwriter, died at age 16 in a car crash in 2023 near the family’s home in Dripping Springs, outside Austin.

“There’s a lot of symmetry with me and Dorian,” says Kweller, who’s now 43. “The path he was on with his music, it was almost like a full circle. I saw a lot of myself in him.”

Kweller pours his grief, shock and anguish into his seventh studio album, "Cover the Mirrors," due out May 30, which would have been his son’s 19th birthday. He named the album after a centuries-old mourning ritual.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 202

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 2025 class of inductees. The group of performers receiving the honor include Chubby Checker, OutKast and Cyndi Lauper 🎸

"Each of these inductees created their own sound and attitude that had a profound impact on culture and helped to change the course of Rock & Roll forever," said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, in a press release. "Their music gave a voice to generations and influenced countless artists that followed in their footsteps."

It’s not just you: Like groceries and other expe

It’s not just you: Like groceries and other expenses, going to concerts, plays and sporting events has gotten more costly. Ticket prices have risen nearly 20% since 2021, according to data collected by the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.

A bill pending in the Texas House of Representatives aims to address some common frustrations with the ticketing process by making it easier to see the total cost of the ticket up front.

But opponents say the language prioritizes ticket resellers over fans by preventing venues and artists from placing a price cap on resale tickets.
