2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the “Red Head

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the “Red Headed Stranger” from Willie Nelson. The city of Garland, where it all began, will note the occasion with two days of celebration, May 16 and 17, billed as “Songs and Stories: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Willie Nelson’s Red Headed Stranger.”

The “Red Headed Stranger” 50th Anniversary Tribute Concert on Saturday, May 17 will feature performances from will feature performances from @joshuaraywalker, @raybensonaatw, @rhettmiller, @max_stalling & @heatherstalling and @johnpedigo.

Soul Coughing’s music nearly defies description. Not because it’s difficult or provocative, necessarily, but rather because it so skillfully fuses such disparate parts (jazz, hip-hop, free associative spoken word, pop, rock) that the resulting concoction is overwhelming in its originality.

The New York City group Soul Coughing will pass through Dallas with a show at the Longhorn Ballroom on April 18.

Texas trio @chaparelle forges a sound all its own on its mesmerizing debut LP, “Western Pleasure,” out April 18.

Austin’s Zella Day and Jesse Woods, alongside Dallas-based producer and musician Beau Bedford, is influenced by the golden age of country music. Yet the inspirations — Tammy Wynette and George Jones; Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris — are merely a jumping-off point.

SILO Dallas has wasted little time establishing it

SILO Dallas has wasted little time establishing itself as a premier electronic dance music destination — not just in North Texas, but the United States.

The Design District-based space opened its doors in mid-September, less than six months ago, and DJ Magazine has singled out the space, alongside global staples like Ibiza’s Pacha and Berlin’s Berghain, as one of the top 100 clubs in the world for 2025.

This week, @silodallas revealed it’s planning to expand its capacity, from 3,145 to 5,000.
