The Fort Worth African American Roots Music Festiv

The Fort Worth African American Roots Music Festival is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year. The festival kicks off at 12 PM on Saturday, March 15 at Fort Worth’s @southsidepreservation, and will feature a broad spectrum of performances, lectures and events, including appearances from @domflemons, @kyshonamusic and @rissipalmermusic.

KXT writer Preston Jones spoke with event founder and organizer Brandi Waller-Pace about balancing the academic and artistic, what has surprised them and the importance of community.
