“…dreamy…experimental…psychedelic…indie…unique…divine…mind-blowing…”
Those are just a few of the words that have been used to describe two of the bands swinging through North Texas this week. Here at KXT though, we can think of one word that sums them both up perfectly — unmissable. Here are the shows you don’t want to miss this week, North Texas:
Friday, Feb. 5
The beloved indie-rock group Yo La Tengo hits up Granada Theater this Friday night for a stop on their Stuff Like That There tour. Fun fact: The album reunites former YLT guitarist Dave Schramm with founding members Ira Kaplan, Georgia Hubley and longtime bassist James McNew.

The New Zealand-Portland hybrid known as Unknown Mortal Orchestra makes a stop at Trees in Dallas this week. The title track from their latest album, Multi-Love, is a fantastic listen — but if you’re in need of something a bit more acoustic, try this KEXP performance on for size, courtesy of our friends at VuHaus.
