If you’re avoiding shopping like the plague today, we don’t blame you.
But if at some point you DO decide to emerge from your cozy, leftover-filled dwelling — might we suggest checking out your local record store? Every year on Black Friday, Record Store Day — surely one of the most glorious Saturdays of the year — extends it’s annual celebration of vinyl culture in an “…attempt to redirect the focus of the biggest shopping day of the year to the desirable, special things to be found at local stores.”
In other words — today’s a good day to show your local music store some love, and get your hands on some exclusive releases while you’re at it.
Here’s a list* of participating stores in and around the North Texas area:
Arlington
Dallas
Movie Trading Company – Greenville
Denton
Recycled Books, Records, & CDs

Fort Worth

Movie Trading Company – Firewheel

Happy (local) shopping!
