New Music Monday – Cayucas, Tomkat and more

Did you hear the news? New albums will now be released globally on Fridays instead of Tuesdays. Here in the U.S., Tuesday has been the release day for more than 25 years. Friday or Tuesday – it doesn’t matter to us because Mondays are still the day you can preview all the great new tunes here on KXT. This is what we have for you this week:

Here’s a live version of California-based band Cayucas performing their new song, “Hella.” Tune into KXT today to hear the studio recording:

As many of you know, there is some pretty cool stuff going on in Denton. We’ll play you the new song from Denton-based band Tomkat today:

Vampire Weekend’s Chris Baio (trivia: he is also the 2nd cousin of Scott Baio) will release a new album this fall under the band name, “Baio.” You can stream the band’s new song, “Sister of Pearl,” here and listen for it on KXT today.

Here are a few more new songs you can expect to hear today:

  • Nellie Pearl, “Canoe”
  • Dreamers, “Wolves”
  • Grady Spencer & The Work, “Guns & Knives”

Happy New Music Monday!
