Jack Johnson – “You and Your Heart”
Hawaiian Jack Johnson has made a name for himself with his brand of chilled-out folk rock. On his latest effort To The Sea, his bandmates Merlo Podlewski, Adam Topol, and Zach Gill (of Animal Liberation Orchestra) give his established sound a more melodic facelift to mirror his live show. Johnson has said that these songs tell the story of “a father leading his son to the ocean, with the ocean representing the subconscious”.
