On The Road: Kelly Upshaw, frontman for the Denton band The Hope Trust, met up with us late morning on the first day of the 35 Conferette in Denton, Texas. With the music conference going into its third year, the downtown square was already bustling with activity. Set right in the middle of the square is the majestic county courthouse, which seemed like the perfect place to set up for our shoot. Kelly performed “Drive to the Ocean” off the band’s latest release Light Can’t Escape.
