Dallas pop duo Smile Smile’s music comes from the wreckage of a relationship — one involving both members of the band. Ryan Hamilton and Jencey Hirunrusme were together when they made their first record, Blue Roses, but split before their upcoming release Truth On Tape. It’s hard to say that the broken relationship has had anything but a positive effect on the music, as their sunny songs hide the dark territory underneath.
