Rhett MillerRhett Miller, best known as the energetic lead singer of Dallas’ Old 97’s, started a solo career in 2002 with The Instigator, a record which further displayed his knack for writing tight, witty songs, simultaneously influenced by Johnny Cash and the Kinks. His second solo record, the more orchestral The Believer, released in 2006, which was followed by a self-titled record in 2009, which Rolling Stone called his “strongest set ever”. Produced by local luminary Salim Nourallah, this record has received heavy airplay on KXT 91.7 since its launch. Between his strong songs and legendary stage presence, this show promises to be one of the best you will see all year. Rhett Miller – “I Need To Know Where I Stand”

Salim NourallahSalim Nourallah is a North Texas music scene fixture. After gaining initial acclaim with the Denton-based Nourallah Brothers (with his brother Faris), he released several solo albums, most notably Beautiful Noise and his most recent, Constellation.
