James McMurtryJames McMurtry has made a name for himself nationally over the past twenty-five years, melding storytelling and wry social commentary into his folk-rock songs. His 2005 record Childish Things won Americana album of the year, and his last studio record Just Us Kids continued to develop on his signature style. Known for a weekly residency at Austin’s Continental Club, James brings his solo acoustic act to the Belmont Hotel on August 18. James McMurtry – “Hurricane Party”

Greg SchroederGreg Schroeder’s repertoire of raw, blues-influenced songs and his entertaining stage persona are slowly gaining him an audience around Texas. This year, Greg built on his first release, Songs For A Bluebird with a new full length, simply entitled Schroeder. His songs revolve around the mystery of the human condition, which he is unafraid to lay bare night after night. Greg Schroeder – “You Say”
