Bugs & Brews

Answer honestly — how many times have you googled “cheap flights to New Orleans” in your lifetime?

Yeah, we’ve all been there. The warm weather rolls in, sunny days abound — and suddenly daydreams of crawfish, cold drinks and live music plague your every thought and before you know it you’re sitting on airfare to Louisiana that you know you can’t actually afford. Oops.

Well, great news. There’s no need to make that impulsive Southwest purchase this year because the Bayou is coming to Dallas.

Here’s what you need to know about Lower Greenville’s inaugural crawfish boil, Bugs & Brews:

What is it?

A classic-Louisiana crawfish boil located right in the “belly of Lower Greenville” — featuring live music, drinks, and of course, mudbugs.

Where exactly is the belly of Lower Greenville?

Ah. That would be the parking lot behind Granada Theater. Here’s a map.

When is this happening now?

Sunday, May 1 from noon-7pm. So cancel your brunch plans — this Sunday Funday takes precedence.

Who will be there?

Rebirth Brass Band, Oil Boom, Roxy Roca, Rise & Shine, Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, The Freeloaders and Mike & The Moonpies. And you, hopefully.
