New Music Monday picks – October 12, 2015

Two thumbs up for surviving Texas-OU weekend and the back-to-back Cowboys and Rangers games, y’all. Here are your New Music Monday picks for October 12:

We can’t wait to see Chadwick Stokes opening up for Xavier Rudd at the Granada on Thursday night, so we thought we’d throw this track into today’s New Music Monday mix – “Want You Like A Seatbelt,” from the newly-released Horse Comanche B-sides.

Tuck right in to this Listenbee track, “Save Me,” which features the dulcet tones of Naz Tokio and offers up the most perfect mellow escape for your Monday.

Jeff Lynne still packs ’em in, and how. Last year he played to a sold-out crowd of 50,000 in London’s Hyde Park, and now he’s back with ELO’s first album of original material in a decade. “When I Was A Boy” is a taste of what you can expect when Alone In The Universe lands November 13.

Taylor Tatsch, Kenny Hollingsworth, Graham Smith, Mike Ratliff and Michael Smith make up the DFW quintet Shadows of Jets — and their new Grow EP is a five-song sonic trip showcasing punchy hooks and stellar songwriting. Get ready to fall in love with “Amanda.”

XOXO
