Concerts this Week in North Texas

Over the next few weeks, North Texas will be privy to a couple of artists who’ve found their voice again. And we’re so glad they did. Here’s the lowdown on upcoming concerts happening in North Texas:

Saturday, August 8

We start off with a very special treat: the album release show of Jonathan Tyler’s new LP Holy Smokes at Trees in Dallas. Other featured artists include Wesley Geiger, Dead Flowers and Quaker City Nighthawks.

Tickets are going fast for this one, and with reviews like this Rolling Stone article it’s not hard to see why. Don’t worry, don’t worry – we’d be happy to give you a free pair. Just head over to the blog before Monday, August 3 at noon and enter to win.

Wednesday, August 12

After an 8 year hiatus, Damien Rice is back in the music business with his latest album My Favorite Faded Fantasy. You can catch him in Dallas at South Side Ballroom. Here’s Rice on NPR’s World Cafe back in January.
