24-year-old Irish singer and poet Hozier, with his string of sold-out fall U.S. tour dates (including a sold-out show at the Kessler on October 4th) and freshly indelible stamp on the world of modern music, just got tapped as Writer of the Week on the American Songwriter website. In the interview, he sings the praises of fellow Irish musicians Little Green Cars, American songwriting heroes Nina Simone and Willie Dixon – and adds that the former Dallasite and Lake Highlands grad Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent – is someone he’d kill to work with. Can we do a rain dance or something to make this happen? Pretty please? For Christmas?
