    • Jerem69

Love the James Gang request! Might be long but it’s downright righteous.

      • Jerem69

Wrong, most cuts are under 3 min.

Sometimes I sit and I stare at the rain
        Isn’t rain filled with sorrow?
Wonder if I’ll see my home again
        Will it be dry tomorrow?

Time passes softly and I’m a day older
But still I’m living days gone by
Ashes to ashes, the rain’s turning colder
Finding tomorrow, the ashes, the rain & I

  • Jerem69

    Good evening Paul et al.
As I lovingly restore an old vacuum tube amplifier and discuss early vehicle restoration on the phone with my brother, the show catches his ear. “What are you listening to?” The answer – “Whatever comes next.”
So, a suggestion from our past comes to mind.
    Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Boxer.”

    • pslavens_kera

you will have to wait until next week, but I think I could go a few rounds with that song. Tell your brother to tune in on the interwebs.

  • Paul Muller

I’m checking to see if all the YouTube videos have a ‘Buy at AmazonMP3 link’ below the screen, otherwise additional ‘AmazomMP3’ links are sent with suggestions.

    The Invisible – “Surrender”
Bluetech & Lynx & Janover – “To Mend”
    Darkness Falls – “The Void”
    Cuckoo Chaos – “Shanghaied”
    Dykeritz– “George Washington”

Maurizio Graf -La Mia Gente (This track just for fun, cuz no mp3’s out there.)

    • pslavens_kera

always an interesting expedition when I launch into sampling your lists. Thanks as always.

      • Paul Muller

You’re quite welcome. Make sure that you and your Bloggers click the Small YouTube Icon at the bottom of these videos when they load. Once you are on the regular YouTube page, there are ‘Amazon’, & ‘Google Play’ Buy links usually. (I really miss the small link boxes that DISQUS used to have.)

  • Evan Hinton

Hey Paul, you put a big smile on my face with that Petra Haden selection. A couple of years ago, I heard an album she put out where she covered the Who’s “Sell Out” album in its entirety with – you guessed it – just her voice. Apparently Mike Watt from the Minutemen put her up to it – he sent her one of his 8-track cassette recorders to her with “Sell Out” dubbed onto one of the tracks, and she overdubbed the rest of the album using that as a guide.
I’ve had a hankerin’ for some more of the new Mount Righteous album as well. Keep up the great work!

    • pslavens_kera

great stuff. I will get some more MR on soon. Love that band.

  • Mark

Best to you Paul – Great show tonight. I suggested a local band a while
back – Plowboy – Headlong and Roaming. They just got invited to open
for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club on their album tour here in Dallas (HOB)
plus Houston, Atlanta & Nashville. See what you think…

    • pslavens_kera

thanks, I think I looked but didnt find. I will look again.

  • pslavens_kera

Thanks for all the great suggestions. It will be a groovy show next week. TUne In!!! Have a great week.

  • philip

Pretty sure I’ve recommended Book of Saturday a looooooooong time ago. Glad to hear it finally played! One of the most beautiful songs ever I think. My recommendation:

    * check out an album called Sound of Wonder. “Dama Dam Mast Qalandar (The Sound Of Wonder),” “Ho Jeth Ji Aaj Main,” “Mera Mehbob Hai” and “Meri Marzi Main Gaoon Gi” are my favorite tracks.!-mw0000821715

    * A friend recently turned me on to a Japanese band called Picky Picnic. I can’t think of any particular tracks to recommend at the moment but they’re pretty weird and fun.

    * C.L. Smooth & Pete Rock’s “They Reminisce Over You.” I wish you could play this hip-hop classic but it has just one cuss word in it, and I don’t think they’ve a censored cut.

  • B L Zebubba

Hearing some sweet tunes tonight; my favorite far and away was the Lee Fields song – definitely wanna check out more of his stuff. I’m liking this “Love Has Taken Me Over” piece too.

  • Enfield Sean

Ray Davies, Al Green, and Fugazi all in the same set! Sweet action!

I guess I’ll post some tunes of my own:

    Iceage – New Brigade
    Fozygen – On Blue Mountain
    Allen Toussaint- Southern Nights
    Waxahatchee – Peace and Quiet

Also, maybe we could get some Fela Kuti on the show… since Zombie is too long, how about “Viva Nigeria”

  • pslavens_kera

I couldnt find the lyrics, its scary not being able to know the lyrics are safe.
