HomeGrown Music and Arts Festival releases initial round of bands, including Texas native Britt Daniel’s (of Spoon) band Divine Fits in Dallas TX debut

Fourth Annual Celebration takes place in Downtown Dallas on May 11th 2013

DALLAS, TX, March 19th, 2013 – The 4th Annual HomeGrown Festival is proud to release the initial round of bands with Texas ties including our headliner Divine Fits, and joined by Larry g(EE), The Burning Hotels, Madison King, Zhora, Quiet Company, and J Charles and the Trainrobbers. The next round of news will be released on April 2, 2013.

DIVINE FITSThe mind meld of Britt Daniel (Texas native and frontman of Spoon) and Dan Boeckner (Wolf Paradeand The Handsome Furs), dubbed Divine Fits, has become one of the most promising collaborations to emerge in a long time. Both of these musicians have separately grown to be regarded as two of the most talented songwriters in the indie world and now the product of their combined talents has manifested in their debut album A Thing Called Divine Fits. http://divinefits.com/

This one-day festival takes place at Main Street Garden Park, located at 1900 Main St. (between Harwood and St. Paul). Gates open at 11am. Tickets will be available on Tuesday, March 19th via LOCAL, online ticket outlet Prekindle (http://prekindle.com/promo/id/22815447473046981). Tickets purchased in advance of the festival are only $17 and will be $25 at the gate the day of event.  As a family friendly bonus, kids under age 10 are absolutely FREE!
