I am here and ready to receive your transmissions

  • Hilary Thomas

Tame Impala! Huge music crush these days.

  • Paul Slavens

Hillary, I already downloaded some and almost played it this week.
But I am gonna wait a couple weeks. Is there a track in particular that you think we would all get into?

  • Hilary Thomas

My two faves are It Is Not Meant To Be and Expectation, but there’s honestly not a bad song on that album. Hard to stop listening.

  • Hilary Thomas

I’ve also been way into Beach House lately. I’m loving your show, btw. Thanks for playing music for us!

  • Hilary Thomas

    YOU SO ROCK!!!

  • Paul Slavens

wow, you hit that one right on the head.
Beach House coming at you , you must be telepathic.

  • Hilary Thomas

This song in particular really talks to the part of me that talks back. There’s that subtle drunken spin that makes you reach out and check your balance. A sexy tune, for sure.

  • Paul Slavens

Yikes, she wasnt all that much older than me.
cue cold breeze up my back

  • Brett Evans

Listening to your show from Minneapolis tonight while enroute to Nebraska. The new iPhone app is great. Thanks for another great mix to warm a cold night, J Paul!

  • Paul Slavens

Whats the weather like, is it gonna be hard driving?
safe journey, and so glad to know Im along for the ride.

  • Mark Scruggs

Paul, have you noted the passing of Captain Beefheart on 12-18? He hasn’t made his extraordinary music in a long time but it lives on…

  • Paul Slavens

I did a whole zappa/beefheart set last week to mark the passing of both geniuses in December.

  • Brett Evans

Delta is taking care of the ‘driving’ tonight so I can listen worry free. Weather is much better here in Minneapolis than for our friends in NYC. SSC should be cold and clear It would be great to hear Bronze Radio Return in the new year. All the best, my friend!

  • I’m currently putting together my top 10 list for 2010 (I’ll tag you on facebook when I post it), and my #1 album this year is definitely Memphis by Magic Kids. They sound like sort of a Beach Boys / Belle & Sebastian kind of band to me.
